City Life

The concept of ‘the city’, with Ljubljana as prime focal point, is discussed from several perspectives. Katja Vintar Mally of the Department of Geography of the University of Ljubljana, is elaborating on sustainable development, the way Ljubljana became both more and less ‘green’ in recent years, and future opportunities and challenges.

Next to that, our hop-on hop-off journey will lead us among other things to a modern approach on traditional South-Korean music by Jambinai and random logic in the music of the Slovenian electronic music duo Random Logic.    

Smart cities are nowadays ‘hot’, but nevertheless have problematic aspects. With regard to this critique, I will share some of my experiences and thoughts on Ljubljana after having spent half a year in the city.
